What made you choose to come to ASU? the amazing program and the team.
What do you wish people knew more about the sport of Water Polo? It definitely isn't easy.
What is the most intense battle wound you’ve received in a game? I have been bitten by a girl.

Where are you from? Newbury Park, CA
What is something unique about your hometown? We have a giraffe sculpture that they decorate for every holiday
Where is your favorite place to eat in Arizona? Culinary Dropout
Do you have any game day superstitions? No.
If you could meet any professional athlete/celebrity who would it be and why? Michael Jordan.
What was your very first practice as a Sun Devil like? Intimidating at first, but it was fun once we got rolling.
What is your go-to warm up song? WAP by Cardi B.
Favorite Water Polo memory? Junior Olympics in 2019, just playing with that team.
Which hobbies do you have outside of Water Polo? Camping, facetimeing my sisters, and baking.
If you had to play another sport which would you choose? Softball.
What do you enjoy most about ASU? The team
Something many people might not know about you? I am left handed.
How do you spend your off days? Sleeping.

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? Mint chip.

What is your major? Psychology.
If you could be any animal what would you be and why? I would be a turtle. I don't know why but I would definately be a turtle.
What are your current personal goals? To put on muscle.
What is your biggest fear? Snakes.
Who is your biggest hero? My sisters.
- Finished the season with seven goals and ten assists for 17 points on the year.
- Appeared in 20 games throughout the season.
- Recorded an assist on Senior day against No. 4 USC on April 13.
- Had a three-point game against Ottawa, notching an assist and two goals
- Scored one goal and had two assists (three points) in the win over San Jose State on Mar. 23.
- Recorded one field block in back to back games vs Long Beach State and Pomona Pitzer (2/24)
- Tallied two goals and two assists in a win against Cal State Fullerton (2/18)
- Appeared in the ASU Invitational (2/9-2/11), scoring a goal against Marist and Ottawa-AZ.

Junior (2023):
- Did not play, medically redshirted.
- Appeared in 15 games on the season.
- Named to the MPSF All Academic Team for the first time in her career.
- Had a season-high seven points against Salem on February 12, 2022. (3G-4A)
- Had a career-high four assists against Salem on February 12, 2022.
Freshman (2021)
- Recorded a season-high five points against CBU off of three goals and two assists.
- Notched an assist in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in the win over Michigan.
- Scored one goal against #1 USC in the MPSF tournament.
- She appeared in all but one games as a freshman, and had 11 total goals and eight total assists on the season.
Previous:
- Abby Begg is a four-year varsity starter from Newbury Park High School and a member of the Olympic Development Program.
- During her junior season, Begg earned several recognitions for her outstanding play, including First Team All-Miramonte League, First Team All-County (Ventura County) and Most Outstanding Attacker.
- As a participant in the Olympic Development Program, Begg placed second in the 2019 ODP National Championships with the Coastal Zone Red "A" team and third at the 2018 ODP National Championships with the same team.
- As a member of the South Coast Aquatics Club team since 2014, Begg has competed at the Junior Olympics four times since 2016. She has earned eighth place (2019), 14th place (2018) and 23rd place (2017) with the 16U team and 24th (2016) with the 14U team.
- She also earned Scholar Athlete awards in the 2016-17 and 2018-19 seasons.
