TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Sybil Dosty scored a career-high 20 points, including the deciding basket with 1:20 remaining, and grabbed 15 rebounds as Arizona State beat UCLA 62-59 in the Pacific-10 Conference opener for both teams.
Jill Noe added two free throws with 2.7 seconds left to secure the win for the Sun Devils (7-5, 1-0 Pac-10).
UCLA (5-7, 0-1 Pac-10) had two chances to go ahead in the final 21 seconds but missed shots, including Lindsey Pluimer's short layup that was grabbed by Noe.
Darxia Morris led the Bruins with 14 points while Doreena Campbell and Plumier each scored 12.
Lauren Lacey added 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Sun Devils.
