TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State University Head Football Coach Dirk Koetter signed 22 student-athletes to national letters of intent to study and play football, ASU announced Wednesday. The class is comprised of 18 freshmen and four junior college transfers, including the nation's top-rated tight end and two of the nation's top-rated quarterbacks. One of the transfers is currently enrolled in school and will participate in Spring drills.
The signature of Koetter's first three ASU classes was speed and this group is comparable. "This is a really well-balanced class," says Koetter. "It is a talented class with student-athletes who are good people who want to be students at Arizona State University."
Six of the signees in this class hail from the state of Arizona, including the finest talent from the Phoenix Metropolitan area. In fact, spanning four classes at ASU, Koetter has signed 31 student-athletes from the state of Arizona to letters of intent.
