ASU Wrestling Hosts Sixth Annual Coaches Clinic
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona State University wrestling will host its Sixth Annual Fall Clinic for coaches and wrestlers October 11 & 12 at the University Activity Center.
The clinic features the Sun Devil wrestling coaching staff and their strength and conditioning coaches. Also, the clinic has added well-known sports nutritionist Melinda Manore. Manore will give insight into proper nutrition and weight cutting for optimum performance.
The clinic is designed to help coaches and wrestlers prepare mentally and physically for the upcoming season. Coaches and wrestlers will be divided into separate groups in which specific needs will be addressed. All participants will have the opportunity to observe an ASU practice and an intrasquad match featuring this years squad.
In addition, all participants will be given free admission to the ASU football game on Oct. 11 versus USC.
Ticket prices for the clinic will be $60 for coaches and $35 for wrestlers.
The clinic schedule is as follows:Saturday, Oct. 11: Registration 8 a.m.-9 a.m. Session I 9 a.m.-10 a.m. Session II 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Session III 11 a.m.-11:45 a.m. Break for ASU/USC Football Game 11:45 a.m.-4:15 p.m. ASU Intrasquad/Workout 4:15 p.m.-6 p.m. Session IV 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12: Session V 9 a.m.-10 a.m. Women's Session VI 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Session VII 11-noon Depart noon
