Cowboys Beat Arizona State
STILLWATER, Okla.- Oklahoma State's top-ranked wrestling team defeated sixth-ranked Arizona State 22-9, Saturday afternoon in Stillwater.
The Cowboys won the first four matches to jump out to a 13-0 lead. The Cowboys and the Sun Devils then split the next six matches, all by decision. The win marked the Cowboys' 26th consecutive dating back to 1996.
The Sun Devils received victories from Steven Blackford at 150, Aaron Simpson at 177 and Joe Micela at heavyweight. Danny Felix at 126 dropped a tough 2-1 decision to defending 118-pound NCAA Champion Eric Guerrero.
The Sun Devils will host Oregon State Thursday, December 4 at 5:00 p.m. in it's home opener.
