B Cuts
Several Sun Devil women's swimmers have earned NCAA consideration times this season with more aiming to attain them this week in Long Beach. Rebecca Ejdervik has swam below the 100 breast NCAA consideration time several times this season. Her fellow breaststroker, Jordyn Green, has also reached NCAA "B" times in both the 100 and 200 meters. Seniors Jamie Martinez and Ashley Evans have also earned NCAA consideration times. An excellent backstroker, Martinez has swam under the "B" cuts in the 100 and 200 back. Evans, who swims practically every event imaginable, has earned her NCAA "B" cut in the 200 IM. Freshman Shannon Landgrebe has earned one in the 200 free.
Senior Strength
The seniors have been the backbone of the team this season. Evans, Martinez and Sara McDaniel have shown valuable leadership in and out of the pool. All three of them have a shot to earn NCAA cuts this weekend with Evans and Martinez already having achieved them. Martinez is the Sun Devils' record-holder in the 200 back while Evans is ranked third in the 200 IM after her solid performance at the Mizzou Invite. McDaniel earned All-American honors as a freshman.
Turning the Paige
Freshman Paige Schultz has wasted no time etching her name on the Sun Devils' All-Time Top 10 list. She is ranked sixth in the 200 IM and 10th in the 400 IM. She will try to qualify for the NCAA Championships this weekend.
