RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif.--The Arizona State women's golf team shot an eight-over par 296 in the first round of the Pacific-10 Conference Women's Golf Championships, just six strokes off the pace. Arizona currently leads after one round with a two-over par 290. Southern California (302) is in third, followed by Washington (303) and Oregon (309) respectively.
Individually, senior Jeanne-Marie Busuttil is currently tied for second, shooting an even par 72 on the day. Senior Kellee Booth is tied for fifth with a two-over par 74. Teammates Grace Park and Tui Selvaratnam are tied for 13th after the first round, shooting a three-over par 75. Junior Keri Cornelius is tied for 20th with a five-over par 77.
Second round action will resume tomorrow at the Tijeras Creek Country Club in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.
