STANFORD, Calif. - The Arizona State women's golf team moved up to 11th place on the second day of competition at the NCAA West Regional, being held Thursday-Saturday at the par 72, 6,154-yard Stanford Golf Course. The squad recorded a team score of 298 to better their Thursday score by 14 strokes.
Sophomore Alissa Kuczka (Phoenix, Ariz.) and redshirt freshman Danelle Perata (Vacaville, Calif.) are the Sun Devil individual leaders, sitting in a tie for 26th at six-over. Kuczka once again shot a 75 for the second consecutive day (75-75=150) while Perata impressed with a one-under 71 on Friday (79-71=150).
Also for the Sun Devils, junior Erin Tone (Gilbert, Ariz.) sits in a tie for 54th at 11-over (77-78=155), freshman Charmaine Erasmus (Bradenton, Fla.) is tied for 78th at 15-over (85-74=159) and freshman Tiffany Tavee (Gilbert, Ariz.) is tied for 90th at 17-over (81-80=161).
The individual lead after two days belongs to UCLA's Hannah Jun who is at six-under (67-71=138) while the Bruins hold the team lead at one-under (282-293=175).
The Sun Devils begin the final day of play on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. on the 10th tee in pairings with Oregon and Pepperdine.
