TEMPE. Ariz. - The Arizona State women's golf team, ranked No. 2 in the latest MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings, continues their spring season at the NCAA West Regional in Palo Alto, California at the Stanford Golf Course.
The Devils are coming off a second place finish at the Pac-10 Championships, where senior Kellee Booth finished in fourth place and freshman Grace Park finished tied for 5th with senior teammate Jeanne-Marie Busuttil. The course is a par 73 (6,093 yards). The golfers will tee off at 8 a.m. each day.
The 20-team tournament field includes Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, BYU, San Jose State, Stanford, Oregon, USC, UCLA, Oregon State, Northern Arizona, Texas A& M, Tulsa, Texas Christian, New Mexico State, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas Tech, New Mexico and Missouri.
LAST YEAR:
Last year the Devils finished first at the NCAA West Regional with a 865 team total, one stroke better than second place Arizona. Individually for the Devils, Jeanne-Marie Busuttil tied for 2nd with Heather Bowie of Texas andAndrea Baxter or Stanford. Keri Cornelius finished 11th, Kellee Booth tied for 18th,Jody Nieman tied for 23rd, and Tui Selvaratnum tied for 35th.
TEEING UP FOR THE DEVILS:
Head coach Linda Vollstedt has announced the following golfers will travel to the San Jose State Invitational: Grace Park, Kellee Booth, Jeanne-Marie Busuttil, Keri Cornelius and Tui Selvaratnam.
