Women's Golf Leads Rolex Fall Preview after First Round
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Freshman phenom Grace Park shot a two-under 70 to help the No. 1-ranked Arizona State women's golf team to a four-stroke lead after the first round of play at the Rolex Fall Preview in Madison, Wisconsin. Rounding out the top five are the University of Arizona (13-over 301), Texas A&M (13-over 301), Memphis (14-over 302) and Tulsa (15-over 303) respectively.
Freshman Grace Park, playing in her first collegiate tournament, is currently in second place individually after shooting a two-under 70 on the day. Senior All-American Kellee Booth shot a two-over 74 and sits in a tie for eighth place individually. Junior Keri Cornelius carded a three-over 75 to tie for 17th individually and junior Tui Selvaratnam shot a six-over 78 to tie for 42nd. Senior Jeanne-Marie Busuttil shot an 11-over 83.
Second-round action of the Rolex Fall Preview will continue tomorrow at the University Ridge Golf Course. Tee-times will begin at 8 a.m. and noon off the No. 1 and No. 10 tees.
