TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State swimming and diving teams split up this weekend as the swimmers host BYU in a home dual meet and the divers travel to Los Angeles, Calif. for the Bruin Diving Invitational.
This weekend will be the first time competing in the pool in almost a month for the Sun Devils, who last saw action on Dec. 16 in a home dual meet versus Pac-12 opponent Utah.
Currently, the Sun Devil women are ranked 18th nationally and are 2-2 in dual meets. The men have yet to notch a dual victory this season. The last time ASU faced the Cougars, the Devils traveled to Provo and split the meet, with the women earning a victory and the men narrowly losing.
On the diving end, Arizona State will compete behind freshman and junior standouts Morgan Weller and Hailey Casper in the Bruin Diving Invitational. The men's one-meter and women's three-meter preliminaries will begin on Friday, with the men's three-meter and women's one-meter prelims on Saturday. Platform competition will take place on Sunday.
