Swimming and Diving Hosts Pac-12 Dual versus Utah

Dec. 14, 2012

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State swimming and diving teams return to their home pool in Tempe on Sunday to take on the Utah Utes in their third Pac-12 dual meet of the season. The meet will begin at 1 p.m. in Mona Plummer Aquatic Center.

The Sun Devils will swim competitively this Sunday for the first time in over a month. The swimming team last saw action in the Arena Invitational Nov. 15-17, where the women finished second overall behind Pac-12 powerhouse UCLA, while the diving squad competed the same weekend in the Wildcat Invitational.

Last week, ASU diver Harrison Jones was named the Pac-12's Diver of the Month. Jones was honored for the month of November after placing first in every event he competed in throughout the month.

ASU's women enter the weekend tied for 18th in the nation with Florida State.

The Utes are 3-1 and 4-4 in men and women's dual meet action respectively. Utah comes to Tempe after winning against BYU in a closely contended dual Dec. 1 in their home pool. The Utes will contend without one of their top performers in the backstroke, Kristian Kron, who is representing Sweden in the World Championships.
