TEMPE, Ariz.-- Junior Rebecca Ejdervik set an Arena Invitational meet record earning her Arizona State athlete of the week ending Nov. 24. Ejdervik dominated the competition when she broke the 100-yard breaststroke meet record of 1:00.04, which had been standing for seven years. Her impressive time was fractions of a second off the NCAA A-Cut time.
Additionally, Ejdervik, junior Kelli Kyle, sophomore Caroline Kuczynski and senior Katie Haron set the Arena Invitational meet record of 1.38.93 which beat a Stanford relay team that was composed of swimmers who had set the previous mark.
Overall, Ejdervik and the ASU women’s swim team finished in third place in a competitive 20-team field featuring Stanford, California, UCLA, San Diego State.
