Sun Devils Head into Fourth Year of Competition

TEMPE, Ariz. - Ending its third year of competition, Arizona State finished with an 8-11-0 overall record and a 4-5-0 (7th) mark in the Pacific-10 Conference ... midfielder Stacey Tullock was selected as the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year, as well as garnering ASU's first All-American honor ... Tullock was also a first-team All-Pac-10 pick (one of only two freshmen), leading the conference in goals (13) and scoring (33) ... Tullock is currently ASU's all-time leader in goals, total points and game-winning goals ... junior forward Jennifer Peterson earned second-team All-Pac-10 accolades ... Peterson finished second on the team in goals (6) and game-winners (2) ... both players were also members of the US National Team ... the team recorded its highest-ranked victory ever, knocking off ninth-ranked Stanford, 2-1 ... the Sun Devils finished fifth in the Pac-10 in scoring with 84 points ... ASU extended its unbeaten streak against Arizona to 4-0 with a 2-0 shutout in Tucson ... five players were selected to the Pac-10 All-Academic teams ... junior Kerrie Kulak, who was an NSCAA Academic All-Region pick, earned second-team honors and Sarah Blaska, Aisha Thomas, Kim Wagner and Jessica Bohl were honorable-mention choices ... Wagner became ASU's all-time assists leader with 12 ... sophomore Erin Reinke posted her best season in goal with a 1.12 goals against average (third in the Pac-10), including two shutouts ... during games ASU won, they outscored its opponents 21-6 ... ASU also played in front of its largest crowd-ever of 2,065 as the Devils came out victories in a 4-2 win over 22nd-ranked UMass ... the Sun Devils also played in front of the school's largest home crown of 556 against UCLA.
