TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State University wrestling team will hold its annual awards banquet on Friday, April 27, at the Groves Wedding Garden and Reception Center in Mesa. The event will open at 6 p.m. with a social followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the presentation of awards at 7 p.m. The cost of the event is $20 per person.
The Sun Devils are coming off a season in which they placed fifth at the Pac-10 Championships and 32nd at the NCAA Wrestling Championships. Seniors Brian Stith (157) and Greg Gifford (184) and junior Patrick Pitsch (165) each won individual Pac-10 titles to pace the Sun Devils with Stith moving into the No. 12 position on the all-time victories list at ASU with 114 wins.
The reception center is located at 606 N. Alma School Road in Mesa (85201) and is one-quarter mile north of University Drive on the west side of Alma School Road.
