As action concluded at the 2007 FINA World Championships in , three Sun Devil swimmers and divers competed for their respective home countries against the top competitors from around the world.
Closing out the event representing was Ante Cvitkovic, who recently completed an excellent freshman season swimming for the Sun Devils. In , Cvitkovic competed in the 50m and 100m backstroke events and the representative ultimately placed 33rd in the 50 m with a time of 26.94 and 37th in the 100m, touching in 57.57.
An earlier highlight for the Sun Devils was the excellent performance by Micky Benedetti, representing , who dove in the synchronized platform diving preliminary and final rounds. Benedetti, the 2007 Pacific-10 Conference three-meter and platform diving champion, placed sixth overall in the event's finals round, earning a score of 406.86. In the synchronized platform diving preliminary round, he placed seventh, scoring 384.96 points.
After placing 10th in the three-meter synchronized diving finals and 23rd overall in the one-meter springboard, legendary former Sun Devil (2003-06) Joona Puhakka placed 14th in the preliminary round of the three-meter springboard, totaling a score of 405.05.
