Stephan Gross And Knut Borsheim Earn Men's Golf All-Pac-10 Honors

Pac-10 Names 2009 Men's Golf Team

Sophomore Stephan Gross (Leimen, Germany) earned first-team All-Pac-10 men's golf honors while junior Knut Borsheim (Bergen, Norway) earned second-team honors in a vote by league coaches.

Gross has a 72.56 stroke average in nine events (27 rounds). He leads the team and is 20th in the nation in scoring on par-5 holes with a 4.61 average and also leads the team with 88 birdies. He tied for first at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational, tied for third at the UH-Hilo Intercollegiate and tied for ninth at the John Hayt Invitational. He earned honorable mention All-Pac-10 last year.

Borsheim has a 73.08 stroke average in eight events (24 rounds). He finished tied for third at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational, tied for tenth at the U.S. Intercollegiate and tied for 11th at the Pac-10 Championship. He earned second-team All-Pac-10 honors last year.

Current sophomore Jesper Kennegard was one of just two freshmen named to the men's golf All-Pac-10 first team last year, and was the first Sun Devil freshmen to earn first-team All-Pac-10 honors since Paul Casey in 1997-98.
