A native of Fremont, IN, Kenny McCarty joined the sports medicine in 1998, where he was working as an assistant athletic trainer for the baseball team. He was promoted to head athletic trainer in 2014. He serves as the athletic trainer for the Women’s Golf program.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in 1996. He later went on to earn his Master of Science from California University of Pennsylvania in 2007.
He is a certified and licensed athletic trainer in the state of Arizona. He is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Corrective Exercise Specialist and Performance Enhancement Specialist and is certified in ASTYM. He is a professional member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and Arizona Athletic Trainers’ Association.
In his free time, Kenny enjoys spending time in the outdoors camping, fishing, traveling, completing DIY house projects, and watching NASCAR.
