George Neilson spent his first season (2013-14) on staff at Arizona State as graduate assistant before joining the staff as full-time video coordinator in the spring of 2014.
In his first year he concentrated on opponent scouting and was in charge of the film exchange.
Prior to Arizona State, the 2011 Alabama graduate worked at Drake University for former Sun Devil assistant coach Mark Phelps. Neilson was in charge of film exchange and of the student manager team.
The season before Drake (2011-12), Neilson was a volunteer video assistant at Alabama, as the Tide advanced to the NCAA Tournament. He worked for Alabama as a student assistant the prior two seasons.
