
ASU: Physically impressive, speedy running back who was a junior college transfer in 2007...battled injuries throughout his three seasons at ASU, playing in six career games and rushing for 81 yards on 18 carries (4.5 avg.) in limited action...made his Sun Devil debut in the 2007 Pacific Life Holiday Bowl against Texas, running for a touchdown in that game.
2009: Played in three games as a reserve running back and on special teams...had nine carries for 42 yards (4.7 avg.) and a touchdown with one reception for four yards...all of that came in team's season-opening win over Idaho State on Sept. 5...saw action on special teams against Oregon State on Oct. 3 and in victory at Washington State on Oct. 10.
2008: Played in two games as a reserve running back...had six carries for 19 yards (3.2 avg.)...ran for 18 yards on five carries (3.6 avg.) in season-opening victory over NAU on Aug. 30...had one carry in his only other action of the season, a win over Washington State on Nov. 15...earned Hard Hat player recognition for his work in ASU's offseason strength and conditioning program.
2007: Played in one game, the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl against Texas on Dec. 27, as a reserve running back...had three carries for 20 rushing yards and his first career touchdown in that contest...also had the team's longest run from scrimmage in the game, an 18-yard gain in the fourth quarter.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: A graduate of West Los Angeles College...amazingly powerful, can bench press 425 pounds and squat 605...has recorded a 39-inch vertical leap and runs a 4.55 40-yard dash...was the only offensive player among ASU's five junior college transfers in 2007...has three years to play three at ASU...played one year at West Los Angeles College, recording 754 rushing yards, 70 receiving yards with 11 rushing touchdowns and one touchdown reception, en route to first-team All-Western State Conference recognition.
UNIVERSITY OF UTAH: Redshirted at the University of Utah as a true freshman in 2005.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Novi (Mich.) High School...at Novi, he earned All-State honorable mention, All-County, All-Area Dream Team, All-North and All-Conference honors...a member of the conference championship team in football in 2004...also lettered in track in which he was selected All-Conference in the 100- and 200-meter events...was chosen as an academic All-State and academic All-Conference.
PERSONAL: Has a brother, J.W., who plays football at Weber State, a twin brother, Josh, who is a defensive back at Utah and his uncle, Ike Spencer, was a running back for the Utes in the early 1970's.
