- Went on to be named an All-Star in the Cape Cod League for Hyannis after recording a 2.70 ERA over 13.1 innings with a save, striking out 16 to just 4 walks
Prior to ASU (Arkansas)
- Named to the First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll
- Did not allow a run in 2.2 innings of work and totaled five strikeouts during the season
- Was electric in the California Collegiate League over the Summer, named the CCL All-League Team with the second-lowest ERA of the summer at 1.29
- Struck out 37 (third in the CCL) to just four walks (lowest in the CCL) and posted a 5-0 record with two saves
- Opponents slugged just .182 against him and reached base at a .200 clip, which was the lowest among CCL pitchers
