Player Bio: Sarah Allen



At ASU: Looks to build upon outstanding freshman campaign ... will once again challenge for starting spot on the wing after starting 23 games as a true freshman ... complete player with NBA three-point range ... established herself as one of the deadliest three-point shooters in the Pac-10 last season ... also brings good ballhandling and passing skills ... spent the off-season working on her mid-range game and on becoming a consistent offensive threat.

1999-2000: Became just the third Sun Devil and the second in as many years to earn a place on the Pac-10 Conference All-Freshman team ... appeared in all 29 games with 23 starts, including 12 Pac-10 starts ... was just one of five Sun Devils to play in all 29 games ... made up one half of ASU's outstanding freshman class along with Brett Leonard ... started the first 18 games of the season ... averaged 5.4 points (sixth on team) and 2.5 rebounds in 20.4 minutes per game ... finished second on the team with 30 three-pointers ... drained at least one trey in 17 games and had two or more in eight contests ... scored in double figures in six games ... opened the season with a 0-for-9 performance vs. UC Irvine Nov. 19 but rebounded with 10 points (4-of-8) vs. Cal Poly SLO Nov. 22 and 14 points (3-of-5) at Wake Forest Nov. 26 ... pulled down a season-best seven rebounds in ASU's season-opener vs. UC Irvine ... turned in one of the Pac-10's best performances from three-point land at Washington Jan. 13, hitting six of eight three-point attempts ... scored a career-best 21 points vs. the Huskies to lead ASU ... also paced the team in scoring in ASU's WNIT game at Colorado State with 11 points ... traveled on her own to Australia last summer to get to know her teammates.

High School: A 1999 graduate of Mt. Notre Dame High School in Cincinnati, Ohio ... started for the basketball team all four years ... captained the team as a senior, averaging 14 points, 4 assists and 3.5 rebounds as the team went 21-3 and won its first district championship in 12 years ... during senior year, was named a preseason Honorable Mention All-American by Street and Smith's ... received first team All-League honors and was named the Greater Girls Cincinnati League Player of the Year ... a first team all-city and second team all-state selection ... during junior year, averaged 14 points, 5.5 assists and 4 rebounds and was named first team all-league and third team all-city ... named first team all-league, honorable mention all-city, second team all-district and honorable mention all-state as a sophomore ... as a freshman, was given honorable mention all-league status ... finished with 1,066 career points, becoming only the second player in school history to amass 1,000 ... coached by Chris Mack and Lisa Hayden.
