ASU: Versatile and athletic three-year starter helped lead solid linebacker corps throughout his career...missed only two games throughout his career, and started 35 of 48 career games...had 256 career tackles (155 solo), 25 tackles for loss, seven interceptions and six sacks...averaged 5.3 tackles per game in his career...earned mutliple accolades throughout his career, beginning as a co-recipient of the team's Bill Kajikawa Freshman of the Year Award in 2002, and concluded his ASU career as the Defensive Most Valuable Player in his final collegiate game against Rutgers in the 2005 Insight Bowl.

2005: Played in 11 games, starting 10 at both SAM and WILL linebacker positions...earned honorable-mention All-Pac-10 honors...finished third on the team and 18th in the conference with 70 tackles (48 solo)...led the team with three interceptions...finished second on the team as well as the Pac-10 with two fumble recoveries, both of which occurred at No. 14 UCLA on Nov. 12...had two sacks and four tackles for loss on the year...was named the Defensive Most Valuable Player of the 2005 Insight Bowl, after finishing the game with seven solo tackles, a forced fumble and one tackle for loss against Rutgers on Dec. 27...was named the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Week after recording a career-high 13 tackles (9 solo), in addition to an interception, a forced fumble and a sack at Oregon State on Sept. 24...had nine solo tackles and an interception against No. 25 Oregon on Oct. 8...had nine tackles (four solo) at Washington State on Nov. 5...recorded seven tackles (four solo) and an interception against Washington on Oct. 29...collected six tackles (four solo) and a sack against top-ranked USC on Oct. 1...had six tackles (three solo) on senior day against rival Arizona on Nov. 25... earned preseason All-American honorable mention honors by Street and Smith's...was recognized as a Hard Hat Player for his work in ASU's winter strength and conditioning program for the second consecutive season...finished ninth in the Hard Hat point standings this year.

2004: Started all 12 games at Devil back...earned honorable-mention All-Pac-10 honors...was a co-recipient of the Pat Tillman Valor Award, along with tight end Lee Burghgraef, at ASU's season-end banquet...was part of a trio of linebackers that accounted for 35.0 percent of ASU's tackles...recorded 81 tackles, including 50 solo stops...ranked third on the team and 16th in the Pac-10 with 6.8 tackles per game...was second on the squad with three interceptions...also added 6.5 tackles for loss and a pair of sacks...was named the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Week for his effort in ASU's win over then No. 16/12 Iowa...had five tackles (four solo), a sack and an interception against the Hawkeyes...returned that interception 31 yards to set up a touchdown...picked off a pair of passes and returned them for 38 yards the following week in ASU's win over Oregon State...tallied 10 tackles on ASU's victory over UCLA...registered a season-best 11 tackles, including a career-high eight solo stops, at California...added eight tackles (six solo) and 1.5 TFLs in ASU's win over Washington State.

2003: Started all 12 games...finished fifth on the team with 68 total tackles, including 37 solos...led the team with 10.5 tackles for loss, including one sack... tallied seven tackles (five unassisted and three for a loss) and a sack Sept. 6 against Northern Arizona...recorded six tackles, one TFL and a pass breakup Sept. 27 at Oregon State...intercepted a pass and returned it 50 yards vs. Oregon on Oct. 11...also had four tackles against the Ducks...collected 10 tackles Nov. 8 at Stanford, including four solo, and assisted on a TFL...broke up a pass and set career highs in total tackles (12) and tackles for a loss (3.5) Nov. 15 at Washington State.

2002: Played in 13 games, starting one...named to the Sporting News Pac-10 All-Freshman Team...along with Chaz White, was named the co-recipient of the Bill Kajikawa Freshman of the Year Award...recorded 37 total tackles, 20 solo efforts...tallied four tackles for loss, including one sack...against UCF, had four tackles, one sack for eight yards, one interception and a pass breakup...had a season-high seven tackles vs. Stanford, 1.5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble...against San Diego State, blocked an Aztec punt deep in their own territory which was recovered in the SDSU end zone for an ASU touchdown, giving the Sun Devils their first lead after being down 22 points.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2002 graduate of Langham Creek High School in Houston, Texas...a three-star player by Rivals.com...the 49th-ranked linebacker by Rivals.com...named the Houston Touchdown Club Defensive Player of the Year in 2002...a PrepStar honorable-mention All-America selection...three-time All-District 16-5A selection...a member of the All-Greater Houston team...earned second-team all-state honors...senior statistics included 135 tackles, 43 tackles for loss, five blocked punts and 13 forced fumbles...scored two defensive touchdowns...a three-year starter who served as the team captain twice...runs a 4.48 40 and has a 32-inch vertical jump...played linebacker and fullback...lettered three times in football, three times in basketball and once in track and field...earned all-district honors in basketball, averaging 13 points and 10 rebounds per game...four-year honor roll student and a member of the Spanish Club and the National Honor Society...played for coach Dennis Demel.
