Player Bio: Jordan Hill

ASU CAREER: A consummate leader and three-year starter whose maturity and dedication on and off the field enabled him to serve as a role model for his teammates...ASU's oldest player, having turned 25 years old just prior to the start of the 2006 season...one of only three current Sun Devils to have played all 49 games during the 2003-05 seasons (along with PK Jesse Ainsworth and SN Jason Burke), and is only non-special teams player among that group...had the most career starts (35) among ASU defenders, and ranks second behind offensive tackle Andrew Carnahan among Sun Devils on the 2006 roster...was a team co-captain as a junior in 2005...for his career, he has collected 123 total tackles (58 solo), 24.5 tackles-for-loss (minus-109 yards) and 12.5 sacks (minus-70 yards)...ended the 2006 season as ASU's active career leader in tackles for loss and sacks...originally a linebacker, he has worked to increase his playing weight to nearly 300 pounds en route to becoming one of the most sturdy interior defensive linemen in the Pac-10... is the only four-time winner in team history to receive Hard Hat Player honors for his work in ASU's winter strength and conditioning program.

2005: Played in all 12 games, starting 11...earned honorable mention All-Pac-10 honors...had 31 tackles (10 solo), six tackles for loss (minus-21 yards), a three-yard sack, three pass break-ups and two fumble recoveries...recorded a season-high four total tackles on three occasions...registered three total tackles (one solo) and a season-high 1.5 tackles for loss (minus-eight yards) against rival Arizona...had two tackles (one solo), including a three-yard sack of quarterback Matt Moore at Oregon State on Sept. 24...earned the Cecil Abono Co-Captain and Outstanding Defensive Lineman awards at the team's year-end banquet...was the Hard Hat Co-Champion, marking the third time in his career that he has been honored for his work in ASU's winter strength and conditioning program.

2004: Played in all 12 games, starting 10... was named the Gail Scott Most Improved Defensive Player at the season-end banquet...added 25 pounds in the offseason as he made the move to defensive tackle...finished seventh on the team with 47 tackles... ranked second on the team and eighth in the Pac-10 with 12.0 tackles for loss... tied for first on the team and ranked sixth in the Pac-10 with 7.0 sacks...recorded five tackles (four solo) at Northwestern and collected two tackles for a loss, including a sack for a loss of five yards, and a quarterback hurry...recovered two fumbles vs. Oregon State while collecting 1.5 TFLs...collected six tackles (four solo) at Oregon, including a sack for a loss of 10 yards...gathered six tackles vs. UCLA, including 0.5 tackles for loss... recorded a sack in three straight games against Stanford, Washington State and Arizona for a combined loss of 23 yards... claimed a career-high seven tackles in the Sun Bowl, including 1.5 tackles for a loss, 0.5 sacks and a quarterback hurry.

2003: Played in all 12 games with two starts...tallied 19 tackles, seven of which were solo efforts...had three tackles for loss for three yards...recorded two sacks on the season...had a sack at Iowa and another against Arizona...turned in a season-high four tackles at USC and again at Washington State...was the runner-up to the Hard Hat Champion for his work in the off-season strength and conditioning program.

2002: Redshirted as a member of the scout team...won the Glen Hawkins Defensive Scout Team Award at the year-end banquet...joined the team at Camp Tontozona after completing a mission in Australia.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2000 graduate of Highland High School in Pocatello, Idaho, the same high school that ASU head coach Dirk Koetter attended...was named the 2000 USA Today Idaho Player of the Year...totaled 301 tackles in his high school career...had 129 tackles his senior year, setting the school record for most in a season...earned first-team all-region and all-state honors at linebacker and punter as a senior...was also named Idaho Statesman and USA Today Idaho Defensive Player of the Year in 2000...multi-sport athlete who lettered in baseball (1), basketball (2) and football (3)...was captain in baseball, basketball (two years) and football (two years)...was coached by Chris Frost and Brent Koetter (Dirk Koetter's brother).
