ASU: Made the move from safety to linebacker this spring...is listed as the No. 1 play at "Devil" back, the new position in ASU's 4-3 defense...plays the same position as former Sun Devil star Darren Woodson...Woodson, a Dallas Cowboys star, was Fawley's favorite player while growing up in Texas...is also a key contributor on special teams...will be a three-year starter in 2004.
2003: Played in all 12 games, starting four...played on almost 300 special teams plays during the season...earned ASU's Special Teams Iron Man Award...finished fourth on the team with 74 tackles (46 solo stops)...ranked 27th in the Pac-10 at 6.2 tackles per game...recorded a sack for 11 yards Sept. 11 at Iowa...also had 11 tackles and a pair of tackles for loss vs. the Hawkeyes...tallied a career-high 12 tackles against Stanford (11 solo)...was fifth on the team with seven tackles for loss for 23 yards...broke up two passes on the season...forced a fumble Sept. 25 at Oregon State.
2002: Played in eight games, starting four...notched 38 tackles, 24 were solo efforts...in his first game back from the broken arm, Fawley had an outstanding game against USC, recording 10 tackles, nine were unassisted, one tackle for loss and a pass breakup... had nine tackles vs. Eastern Washington...recovered a fumble and had four tackles at Arizona.
