Four Sun Devils Earn All-America Recognition
Complete List of Post-Season HonorsThe Sporting News and AP released its All-America teams and four Sun Devils found themselves honored. Pat Tillman earned first-team recognition from TSN while AP named him to its second team. Receiving second-team recognition on both teams was defensive tackle Jeremy Staat. Offensive guard Kyle Murphy was a second-team selection by TSN and third-team AP. Finally, Grey Ruegamer was named a third-team All-American by TSN.
Tillman, the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year, led the Sun Devils in tackles this season with 93 while his teammate Staat was named the Pac-10's top defensive lineman after a season that saw him notch 62 tackles including 20 for loss and 9.5 sacks. Murphy and Ruegamer led an offensive line that produced the Pac-10's top running game.
