ASU Volleyball Falls to No. 15 Loyola Marymount

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Senior outside hitter Terri Cox had 17 kills as the Arizona State volleyball team fell to No. 15 Loyola Marymount, 0-3, at the UCSB Judy Bellomo Classic in Santa Barbara, California this morning. Game scores were 9-15, 9-15, 13-15.
Although the Devils hit .425 as a team for the match, ASU had nine receiving errors for the match and managed only 20 digs.
Senior middle blocker Kirstin Mattson had nine kills, two block solos and three block assists. Junior middle blocker Shawna Vanley contributed with five kills and four block assists.
LMU's Sarah Noriega had a match-high 26 kills while setter Tracy Holman dished out 62 assists. The Lions had no blocks for the match.
Arizona State (7-1, 0-0 Pac-10) will face South Florida tonight at 7 p.m. as action continues at the Judy Bellomo Classic.
