
An All-American in 2003, Fluckiger finished fifth in the NCAA after securing his second Pac-10 Championship title. As a senior, Fluckiger went 36-7 with a 15-1 record in duals. His lone loss in duals came to national champion Steve Mocco of Iowa. Fluckiger also pinned seven opponents on his way to finishing his career with the Maroon and Gold at 98-45 overall and 37-13 in duals.
In his career, Fluckiger won several titles including two conference crowns and the Reno Tournament of Champions. He was honored as the co-Top Senior at ASU and was the team's Most Improved in sophomore campaign.
A native of Preston, Idaho, and a 1998 graduate of Preston High School, Fluckiger was a two-time state finalist and one the state championship at 189 pounds as a senior when he went 43-2. He also set school records in career wins, points, pins, technical falls and near falls.
