Arizona State: A three-time NCAA qualifier, seeks first All-America honors this season…will start at 157 pounds. 2001-02: Compiled a 22-7 overall record, 8-1 in duals, as the primary starter for the Sun Devils…opened the year 4-0 and won the Missouri Open (Nov. 18)…took fourth at the Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 1) with losses coming to No. 11 Joe Carr (West Virginia), 2-2 tb, and No. 6 Ryan Bertin (Michigan), 3-2…finished sixth at the Reno Tournament of Champions (Dec. 20), though only wrestled two matches before being injured…only dual loss of the year was to No. 1 Bryan Snyder (Nebraska)…finished fifth at the Pac-10 Championships to qualify for the national meet…went 3-2 at nationals…named one of ASU’s two Top Juniors with Kellan Fluckiger. 2000-01: Solid starter at 157 pounds in his first season as a Sun Devil…compiled an overall record of 26-12 and a dual record of 11-4…qualified for the NCAA Championships but failed to place, going 1-2…took third at the Pac-10 Championships…opened the season winning six-straight matches before falling to No. 3 Kirk White of Boise State, 3-2…earned runner-up honors at the Reno Tournament of Champions, losing another 3-2 match to White in the championship bout…took seventh at the Las Vegas Invitational…one of three Sun Devils to go 3-0 at the National Duals…compiled a 6-10 record versus ranked opponents…ended the season ranked ninth by Amateur Wrestling News and 10th by InterMat.

High School: A 1996 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School in Pleasant Grove, Utah…lettered four years in wrestling and three years in football…a four-time state wrestling champion from 1993-96 and high school national champion…compiled an overall prep record of 125-1…captained both wrestling and football teams.
