Arizona State: Returning All-American and Pac-10 Champion at 133 pounds…will be challenged for starting position by redshirt freshman Evan Larkin.

2000-01: Compiled a 26-10 overall record and an 11-3 dual record at 133 pounds…earned first career All-America honors with a seventh place finish at the NCAA Championships…upset 10th-ranked Brett Lawrence from Minnesota 6-3 with a takedown in the final seconds of the seventh place match…went 4-2 at nationals, including a 9-1 major decision over sixth-ranked Rob Loper from Pittsburgh…won the Pac-10 title at 133 pounds… placed third in the Reno Tournament of Champions and fifth at the Las Vegas Invitational…opened the season winning five straight matches, all via bonus points…posted a 6-4 record against ranked opponents…tallied six wins by fall, two by technical fall and was third on the team with seven major decision wins…ended the season ranked 11th by Amateur Wrestling News and InterMat…joined Eric Larkin as ASU's "Most Inspirational Wrestler."

1999-2000: Compiled a 29-13 overall record and an 11-6 mark in dual contests at 141 pounds…competed at the NCAA Championships, falling one match short of earning All-America honors…finished the season ranked 15th by both Amateur Wrestling News and InterMat…pinned his first two opponents at the Pac-10 Championships, en route to a 4-1 record and third-place finish at the conference meet…earned the starting job at 141 pounds, beating out defending Pac-10 Champion Mark Perryman…won five straight before falling to 13th-ranked Sonny Marchette of Iowa State in a heart-breaking 6-4 overtime decision…finished the season with four falls and two technical falls…tied for second in team major decisions with Michael Kawamura (five)…finished third at the California Open and second at the Reno Tournament of champions…Sun Devils’ "Most Improved Wrestler."

1998-99: Finished the season with a 14-6 overall record… saw action in eight dual meets with a 7-1 mark… won five matches by pin and three by major decision… posted a 3-0 mark at the National Team Duals, including a 15-5 major decision over No. 14 Biff Walizer of Penn State… faced seven ranked opponents on the season, upsetting three… reeled off seven victories to open the season… captured first place at 141 pounds at the Keystone Classic… finished eighth at Las Vegas Invitational.

1997-98: Used redshirt year.

High School: A 1997 graduate of Thornridge High School in Dolton, Ill.... lettered three years in football and four years in wrestling... captain of wrestling squad all four years... four-time state wrestling champion... three-time sectional and regional wrestling champion... four-time conference wrestling champion... 1997 All-State Wrestling MVP... 1997 All-Conference Cornerback... 1995 Cadet National Wrestling Champion... overall high school wrestling record was 132-3.
