High School: A 2008 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School (Leesport, Pa.)... lettered in track & field, cross country and basketball... captained the track & field team as a senior... 400m state champion in 2007, running a state-record 55.46 in the victory... placed third in 2008... twice the state runner-up (2005, 2007) and third place (2006) in the 200m dash at the state meet... state runner-up in the 100m dash in 2005 and fifth in 2006... swept the 100m and 200m dashes at the district level in 2005 and 2007... won the 200m and 400m events at the district meet in 2008... qualified and competed in the past four Junior Olympic meets... placed among the Top 6 in a pair of events a the 2007 USATF Youth Outdoor Nationals, including fourth in the 400m dash and sixth in the 200m dash... also placed eighth in the 200m dash at the 2006 USATF youth meet.
