High School: A 2004 graduate of Linn-Mar High School (Marion, Iowa)... senior year on the track was his most productive as he earned Track Athlete of the Year and Cross Country Athlete of the Year honors from LMHS... member of the 4x800m relay team that won the Drake Relays, the Iowa state championship and broke the school record by six seconds (7:47)... state qualifier in cross country and track and field all four years... 2004 all-state team member in both cross country and track and field... along with the school mark in the 4x800m relay, also holds the top times in the 5K cross country, 3,200m, 1,600m and medley relay... lettered four times each in cross country and track and field while adding one in swimming/diving.
