Northern Arizona: Won his first collegiate meet while vaulting for the Lumberjacks…cleared 15-5.5 in that meet…finished in the Top 10 in six meets during the 2002 season…team won the Big Sky Conference Indoor Championships…earned Academic All-America honors as well a place on the Dean’s List.
High School: A 2001 graduate of Corona del Sol High School (Tempe)…was a two-time regional champion in the pole vault…worked his way to clearing 15 feet throughout his junior and senior seasons…lettered four times in track and field.
Personal: Majoring in physics...parents are Steve and Darlene Abel...three siblings, Jessica, Micah and Natalie…born August 25, 1982 in Mesa, Ariz.…hobbies include remote control airplanes…full name is Cameron Matthew Abel.
