Swam season-best times in the 100 and 200 back at the Pac-10 Championships
Swam the 100 backstroke in a season-best time of 48.85 at the Pac-10 Championships, shaving over six seconds off his time from the beginning of the season.

Named best male junior swimmer for Iceland in 2005 and Swimmer of the Year in his hometown of Keflavik, Iceland.
