ASU: Expected to be one of ASU's top breaststrokers in 2005-06...is almost completely deaf and uses the strobe flash for his starts.
High School: A 2005 graduate of Flowing Wells High School in Tucson, Ariz...earned four varsity letters in swimming...also competed for Ford Aquatics in Tucson...helped lead the 4x100 medley relay team to a first place finish at the national championships with a 1:04.14 split...also took first place in the 100 breaststroke at a Speedo Champion Series with a 1:05.14...finished second at the Arizona State High School meet as a junior with a 1:03.68...as a senior, claimed first place in the 5A meet with a blistering 56.65...swam an even faster 56.40 in a time trial the day after the state meet...named High School All-American as a senior and has made the Olympic cut in the 100 breaststroke.
