Phil Spiniello returns to ASU for his second year as an assistant coach for the Arizona State swimming and diving programs after previously working as the graduate assistant.
The native of Boston, Mass., comes to Tempe following his graduation from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa., where he was a four-year swimming letterwinner and two-year captain at Franklin and Marshall. After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in history where he graduated with honors in 2003, Spiniello came to ASU last season and served as the graduate assistant and is currently working on his masters degree in recreation management.
Spiniello also serves as a swim coach for the year-round club team, Sun Devil Aquatics, where he works with Group 5, swimmers ages 13-17. He assists with all aspects of coaching and administrative duties that include coordinating ASU's team travel and maintaining the team's recruiting database.
