High School: A 2005 graduate of Ballard High School in Seattle, Wash...earned four varsity letters in swimming and was the team captain his senior year...also competed for Bellevue Swim Club...was a High School All-American all four years of high school...as a freshman, placed third at the Washington State meet in the 500 free and fifth in the 200 free...won both the 200 and 500 freestyle events both his sophomore and junior seasons...as a senior was second in the 200 free (1:39.10) and won his third straight 500 free title in a time of 4:27.
