Blaska Named Pac-10 Player of Week
Sophomore forward Sarah Blaska was named Pac-10 Player of the week by the conference after registering a three point game (goal and one assist) in Arizona State's upset win over 19th ranked USC. In only their second year as a program, ASU handed USC it's first loss ever at the Coliseum.
Blaska scored ASU's second goal of the first half when she got behind the USC defense, blasting a shot pass the keeper from about 7-yards out on the left side. On ASU's game-winning goal, Blaska came up with a huge assist, finding Jaclyn Clark wide-open on the left side.
Blaska is tied for second on the team in assists (5) and is fifth in points (9). She also has registered a game-winning goal.
