Against the Cougars:
Arizona State now leads the series with Washington State 24-13-2, including a 15-5-2 record when the teams play in Tempe. ASU has won the last five home meetings with WSU and eight out of the last nine, and have outscored the Cougars 112-7 over the past three games between the two teams in Tempe.
Let's go bowling:
With the win over Washington State, ASU now is bowl eligible for the second time in as many years. The Sun Devils are 12-12-1 all-time in bowl games. They lost 56-24 to No. 8 Boise State last year in the Las Vegas Bowl, and won its last bowl game in the 2005 Insight Bowl against Rutgers, 45-40, when Rudy Carpenter threw for 467 yards and four touchdowns.
Coyle continues climbing:
Tight end Chris Coyle now has 51 receptions this season after grabbing three catches and two touchdowns against WSU, which is tied for third in receptions by a tight end in single season history. He needs five more catches to surpass Zach Miller's 56 catches in 2004. Coyle also now has five touchdown catches on the year, one shy of the single-season tight end record set by Miller and Joe Petty.
Grice is real nice:
Marion Grice's eight receiving touchdowns moved him into first in the nation for receiving touchdowns by a running back. This makes him the all-time leader in running back touchdown receptions in the Pac-10/12 era for ASU. He has 14 touchdowns on the year, and needs just four more touchdowns to move into fourth on ASU's all-time single-season touchdown list.
Secondary a primary:
With Keelan Johnson's two interceptions in the first half, the ASU defense now has 17 interceptions on the year, which ties them with TCU entering the day for 6th in the nation. Johnson now has four picks on the year which leads all Sun Devils.
Winning by way of TKO (Taylor Kelly Offense):
With four touchdown passes today, Taylor Kelly now has 25 on the season, tying for fifth in Arizona State history with Rudy Carpenter in 2007 for touchdown passes in a single season. If the season were to end today, Kelly would also hold the school record for completion percentage (.669 percent, 208-311). The previous record was 68.1 percent set last season by Brock Osweiler (minimum 300 pass attempts).
Stuff the run:
Arizona State allowed just one rushing yard to Washington State, its best performance since Oct. 10, 2009, also against Washington State, when the Cougars had -54 yards rushing. It is the fourth-best rush defense game in the past 17 seasons (1996-present).
Three-headed monster:
ASU running backs have accounted for 32.7 percent of all the team's receiving yards this season. Of the 2,911 total receiving yards, running backs have collected 952. Grice, Marshall and Foster have accounted for 27 of the team's 46 total offensive touchdowns.
See the ball, catch the ball:
Wide receiver Rashad Ross had eight catches for 79 yards and two touchdowns Saturday afternoon. His previous high for receptions this season was seven against Cal.
Getting on the board early:
With Jon Mora's 21-yard field goal, the Sun Devils have now scored first in 10 out of 11 games this season, the only exception being Missouri.
Winning the first quarter:
With 18 more points, ASU has now outscored its opponents 124-63 in the first quarter this season. In doing so, they have shut out NAU, Illinois, Utah, Cal, Colorado, and now Washington State.
Finishing stronger:
The Sun Devils know how to close games, too. The most points they have allowed in the fourth quarter is 10 to UCLA and USC, and have outscored their opponents 102-41 in that period.
Utilizing the freshman:
Running back DJ Foster has 34 receptions in his first season at ASU, which puts him second in receptions by a freshman, behind only Zach Miller's 56 in 2004. He also has the second-most receiving yards by a freshman with 486, behind Miller's 552 in 2004.
Pin `em deep:
Josh Hubner's had four punts against the Cougars, two of which traveled over 50 yards and pinned the opponent deep inside the 20-yard line, including once at the two-yard line. He has 19 punts on the year inside the 20 (out of 47 total punts). He also has 20 punts of over 50 yards this season, good enough to lead the Pac-12. The next closest in the Pac-12 entering today is 15 by Colorado's Darragh O'Neill.
Just kicking it:
Kicker Alex Garoutte has now made 92 straight extra points. He has made 99 out of 100 attempts in his college career, which places him eighth all-time for PATs made as a Sun Devil.
Better suited for handkerchiefs:
With four penlaties for 30 yards today, six of ASU's top-10 least penalized games since 2006 have come this season.
Celebrate the seniors:
Saturday's game against Washington State was the last at Sun Devil Stadium for the ASU seniors. Brandon Magee, Keelan Johnson, Brice Schwab, Cameron Marshall, Brandon Johnson, Charles Beatty, Josh Hubner, AJ Pickens, Deveron Carr, Corey Adams, Kevin Ayers, Toa Tuitea, Kyle Johnson, Rashad Ross, Andrew Sampson, Jamal Miles and James Morrison have combined for 450 games played and 200 starts over the span of their Sun Devil careers.

-Will Sutton has recorded at least one tackle for loss in all ten games he's played in this season.
