TEMPE, Ariz. – The Arizona State swimming team kicks off its 2012-13 season with a double dual meet at home this Saturday, Oct. 27, hosting the Grand Canyon University Antelopes and the Washington State Cougars. The competitors will face off at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center starting at 9:30 a.m. PT.

The official ASU Swimming and Diving Twitter account, @swimmingASU, will be tweeting with live updates from the meet. Live statistics and results will also be available for fans to follow.

The Sun Devils enter their home pool in competition for the first time this season after the women’s team finished 12th in the NCAA Championships and the men garnered a seventh-place spot in the Pac-12 Championships. The team returns many of its veteran competitors, including 12 seniors and 17 juniors across both men and women’s squads.

This will be Washington State’s third meet of the season after beating Seattle University in a dual meet 179-83 and traveling to the University of Arizona this upcoming Friday. Grand Canyon enters the weekend after both the men and women’s teams claimed first place at the Redlands Invitational in Redlands, Calif.
