Women's Golf to Compete at Rancho Bernardo

RANCHO BERNARDO, Calif.—Coming off back-to-back first place victories in Hawai’I, the Arizona State women’s golf team travels to the San Diego area to compete in the Battle at Rancho Bernardo Inn.

Held at the par-72, 6,336-yard Championship Golf Course at the Rancho Bernardo Inn Resort and Spa, the tournament is hosted by the San Diego State Aztecs, Mar. 20-22.

The entire field is among the top 51 ranked teams in the nation, headlined by No. 1 USC, No. 3 UCLA and defending national champion and seventh-ranked Purdue. Seven other schools are among the top 25, including No. 8 Arizona, No. 9 Arizona State, No. 10 California, No. 17 Pepperdine, No. 18 UC Davis, No. 20 Georgia and No. 22 Auburn. The 43rd-ranked Aztecs will be joined by fellow MWC members New Mexico, TCU and UNLV, while Texas, Oregon and Denver round out the participants.

The line-up for ASU features: Giulia Molinaro, Laura Blanco, Daniela Ordonez, Justine Lee and Brittany McKee. Nicole Jones will compete as an individual. Junior Carlota Ciganda will not be making the trip due to illness.
