Arizona State Claims Two More Pac-10 Titles

FEDERAL WAY, Wash.—Junior All-American Rebecca Ejdervik and sophomore Riley McCormick claimed two more Pac-10 titles for Arizona State on the third day of the conference championships in Federal Way, Wash.

Ejdervik, who initially set a new ASU school record in the preliminaries, broke her own record en route to a second-consecutive Pac-10 title in the 100 breast. Touching in with a time of 58.90, Ejdervik earned an automatic qualifying spot at the NCAA Championships.

McCormick defended his Pac-10 platform Championship, recording a 440.70 on the event for his second-straight title. The sophomore also earned the silver medal on both the 1-meter and the 3-meter dives. 

Sophomore Caroline Kuczynski finished fourth in the 100-yard butterfly, earning an NCAA qualifying time of 52.52. Shannon Landgrebe finished in third place in the 200 free with a time 1:45.26 to earn an NCAA qualifying time.

The Arizona State 400 –medley relay finished in third place behind California and USC. The ASU ‘A’ relay finished in a NCAA consideration time of 3:33.99.

Arizona State is in sixth place heading into the final day of the Pac-10 Championships.
