Women's Swimming and Diving Set to Host Oregon State Saturday

The Arizona State University women's swimming and diving team will host Oregon State this Saturday at 1 p.m. The meet will be held at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center in Tempe, Ariz. The Sun Devils are currently 5-3 (1-2 Pac-10). They recently topped Northern Arizona and New Mexico State before taking a break for the holidays.

ASU's Newest Record-Holder
It only took three dual meets for Elina Eggers to break a school record. With a score of 339.90, Eggers crushed Trisha Tumlinson's five-year standing mark of 326.35 to set a new standard in the 1-meter. Eggers, a 2008 Olympic finalist on the platform, additionally won the 3-meter that meet. She was recognized as ASU Athlete of the Week for her record-setting performance.

Going Green
Jordyn Green successfully avoid the sophomore slump. The Reno, Nev., native won both breaststroke events at the Mizzou Invite. With times already under the NCAA "B" standard, Green aims to return to the NCAA Championships for the second consecutive season.

Heading to the Zone!
Three Sun Devil women's divers have already qualified for the NCAA Zone E Meet. Eggers, Ciara Geller and Brittany Jumer have each garnered NCAA automatic qualifying scores and will be heading to Austin in March to attempt to qualify for the NCAA Championships.

Turning the Paige

Paige Schultz already etched her name on the Sun Devils top 10 list. The freshman is now ranked 10th in the 400 IM after clocking in at 4:20.42. She is also ranked sixth in the 200 IM.

Senioritis

Ashley Evans has had quite the senior year so far. With a win in the 200 IM at the Mizzou Invite, Evans earned an NCAA B standard. She is now third on ASU's all-time list with a time of 2:00.62. She also placed third in the 100 free with a time of 50.87.
