WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Arizona State men and women's swimming and diving teams placed 11 total student-athletes on the Pac-10 All-Academic teams. The women's team had 8 athletes earn honors while the men had three conference academic accolades. To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and to either be a starter or significant contributor.
Senior Frankie Judy (Marketing, 4.04) made the Pac-10 All-Academic First-Team for the third year in a row, just missing out on the conferences highest GPA by .01
Senior Erin Hobbs (Interior Design, 3.49), sophomore Brittany Jumer (Family and Human Development, 3.56), senior Luke Herlehy (Political Science, 3.29), junior Max Laney (Interdisciplinary Studies, 3.10) and sophomore Adrian Kirkpatrick (Exploratory, 3.19) were all named to Second-Team Pac-10 All-Academic. This is Laney's second time being named to the second-team.
Rikka Brunner, Shannon Garrett, Ilene Lesch, Sara McDaniel and Katie Haron were all named to the Pac-10 All-Academic Honorable Mention team. This was the second year in a row receiving honorable mention for the Pac-10 All-Academic Team for Rikka Brunner, Ilene Lesch, and Sara McDaniel.
