No. 14 Women's Tennis Hits the Road to Face Pac-10 Foe Oregon

The 14th-ranked Arizona State Women's Tennis Team (8-3) will hit the road for only the second time this season as they travel to Oregon to face Pac-10 foe, the Oregon Ducks in a duel that counts towards conference standings. The match is set to kick-off at 1:30 p.m. PT in Eugene, Ore.

Duck Tracks:

The Ducks come into the weekend with a 7-7 overall record coming off wins over Sacramento State and Portland, but falling to Nevada in the last week. Their strength lies in their upperclassmen, which

five of the ten roster members of the Ducks are Juniors or Seniors. They are led by Anna Powaska a senior from Gdynia, Poland who currently holds a 10-15 singles record.

Last year the Sun Devils bested the Ducks, sweeping them in Tempe 7-0 where they won nearly every match in straight sets.

The Sun Devils will return home next week as they host Marquette on Tuesday, March 18 at 1:30 p.m. before hosting Pac-10 rival, Arizona on Saturday the 22nd at 1:00 p.m. All matches will be held in Tempe at the Whiteman Tennis Center.
