Puhakka Wins Three-Meter Title at NCAA Zone E Meet

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Arizona State University diving teams were completed the second day of competition Friday afternoon at the NCAA Zone E Diving Regionals held at the Oklahoma City Community College Aquatic Center. Junior All-American Joona Puhakka claimed his second title in as many days, winning the three-meter title. Senior All-American Trisha Tumlinson finished third in the one-meter event.

Puhakka, who took the tile in the one-meter event Thursday afternoon, topped the field for his second title of the meet, with a score of 612.55 in the three-meter event. His scores qualify him for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in both the one-meter and three-meter events.

Tumlinson, who finished seventh Thursday afternoon in the three-meter event, finished third overall in the one-meter final, with a score of 576.45. Tumlinson's scores in the one-meter and three-meter events qualify her for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

The NCAA Zone E Diving Regionals wrap up competition Saturday with the men's and women's platform events. The women's finals begin at 10 a.m. while the men compete at 1 p.m.
