College basketball's finest shooters and slam-dunk artists converge on New Orleans later this week for Mountain Dew's Annual Slam Dunk and Three-Point Championships, and Arizona State's Kyle Dodd is part of the program. This year's event, the 15th annual competition among shooters and slammers, will take place at the Alario Center (the practice site of the New Orleans Hornets), just outside New Orleans, on Thursday, April 3 at 7 p.m. (CT).
ESPN will televise the two hour special on Saturday April 5, (3-5 p.m., ET/1-3 p.m. Arizona).
Intersport's production of the event will include the 10-10-220 Men's Three-Point Championship, the State Farm Women's Three-Point Shootout, the New Balance Slam-Dunk Contest, and the Kia Three-Point Champion Challenge matching the men's and women's long-range winners in a shootout. The judges for this year's Slam Dunk Contest include three current New Orleans professional athletes: the Hornets' Baron Davis and Robert Traylor as well as Saints' Pro Bowl running back Deuce McAllister. Additionally, New Orleans native and former Major League All-Star Will Clark will be judging the eight slam-dunk specialists.
