Rob Evans and the Arizona State Basketball staff have announced the dates for their summer camps this year, and included among the sessions is its fourth annual two-day Father/Son Camp during Father's Day Weekend (June 14-15).
One overnight camp will be held from June 2-6, a commuter camp will be held June 10-14, the Father/Son camp will follow on June 14-15, and team camp will conclude the sessions June 28-30. All sessions originate at ASU's Wells Fargo Arena. Anyone wanting information on the camps should contact the men's basketball office at 480-965-3261.
Information on each camp follows:
OVERNIGHT CAMP (JUNE 2-6): Overnight campers register between noon-3 p.m. (registration site TBA) on Sunday, June 2. Cost of the camp is $350 and includes all meals. Cost is $235 (with lunch) for those not wishing to stay overnight. A $100 deposit is required.
COMMUTER CAMP (JUNE 10-14): Campers have the option of attending sessions from 9 a.m.-noon or from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Registration is at 8:30 and 12:30 at Wells Fargo Arena on June 10. Cost for either session is $160, and a camper may attend both sessions for $230.
FATHER/SON CAMP (JUNE 14-15): Fathers and sons (even grandfathers) go through drills and competition together. Cost is $120 for both the father and son. A barbecue concludes the camp with moms and daughters invited.
"We look forward to working with the local community in our camps and developing the Father/Son Camp at Arizona State. This is a fun event for us and for all the participants," says Rob Evans. "We want to provide each camper with a chance to become a better basketball player and to have a lot of fun in the process."
TEAM CAMP (JUNE 28-30): Teams are divided into divisions according to level of play and a tournament concludes the event. For pricing information, contact Dan O'Dowd at 480-965-3343. Teams are housed at the Tempe Mission Palms, right by the ASU campus.
