She recorded a 1:03.06 in the 100 breast and a 2:16.80 in the 200 breast to get her season off to a quick start after a second-place finish at last year's NCAAs in the 200 breast and a Pac-10 Championship in that same event.
ASU, This Season In The Pool
Aside from the women's diving dual with New Mexico, the only competition seen by the Devils so far this year has been at the Maroon and Gold Intrasquad and the annual ASU Intrasquad Pentathlon. Making his regular season debut for the men will be freshman David Kolozar who earned three first-place finishes during the intrasquad competitions. He comes off a summer that saw him finish fifth at the European Championships in the 200m fly and was Junior European Champion in 1999. The men are returning five All-Americans to this year's squad. The women's squad is anticipating the regular season debut of freshman Kathryn Hennessy, who earned two first-place finishes during the intrasquad competitions. Also appearing as Sun Devils for the first time will be transfers Petra Banovic and Courtney Caples, who finished second and third, respectively, at the ASU Pentathlon. The women are returning six All-Americans for the 2002-03 season.

Next weekend, the Sun Devils will be in full swing as they travel to Tucson on November 1 and 2 to compete against Wisconsin, top-20 finishers at last season's NCAAs on both the men's and women's sides. The men return home on Sunday, November 3 to face Auburn in a swimming-only event. The Tigers are coming off a season where they finished third at the NCAA Championships.
