Pac-10 Conference Coach of the Year Charli Turner Thorne has announced her 2001 summer basketball camps to be held on the campus of Arizona State University.
The fifth-year Sun Devil women's coach and her staff will direct four camps starting with a team camp June 8-10. The overnight camp is geared toward high school teams interested in the opportunity to work on team skills in game situations.
A skill day camp for players in grades 7-12 will be held June 16-17, while an individal camp for players in grades 6-12 is set for June 18-21. The individual camp is offered as a boarding or non-boarding camp.
Turner Thorne's final camp will be a day camp for players in grades 3-8 which runs from Aug. 6-9. It will feature instruction on basketball fundamentals and on improving already developed skills.
All camps will be run by Arizona State women's basketball coaches and players and will take place at Wells Fargo Arena, the home of the 2001 Pac-10 Champion Sun Devils.
